Alcohol Rehab Information
The Alcohol Rehab Program at NTS is designed to help problem drinkers, binge drinkers, and alcoholics recover and live sober lives. We focus on how alcohol has negatively impacted the life of the client and then help them gain a firm foundation of sobriety before returning home.
Alcoholism is one of the most deadly and prominent forms of addiction on the planet. Alcohol destroys more lives than almost any other form of addiction. Often alcoholism begins subtly in high school with binge drinking. Binge drinking often progresses to alcoholism as time goes by. The shift from problem drinking to full-blown alcoholism is sometimes hard to see.

Simply put, the alcoholic will drink alcohol to the point of inebriation despite negative consequences in the past. Many people get into trouble with the law, their families, their friends, or their employers as a result of their drinking, but despite these negative consequences they will not be able to stop for any length of time. Some people are able to give up alcohol for short periods of time, but more often than not, this kind of abstinence results in even heavier drinking in the long run. The person with a drinking problem will often make many attempts to prove they do not have a drinking problem to themselves, their families, and their friends. Alcohol Rehab at NTS helps clients come to the place where they accept that they have a problem with alcohol and their lives have become unmanageable.
Alcohol is a problem if it interferes with a person's work, family, relationships, and health. The person who has a problem with alcohol will most likely have tried to stop drinking many times before but will have been unsuccessful at doing so. Sometimes the person with the alcohol problem is the last one to see they have a problem. The Drug and Alcohol Rehab at NTS helps clients with alcohol problems recognize the problem they have and we give them tools to help them stay sober on a daily basis.
Addiction, Alcoholism and Rehab
Alcoholism is often defined as an uncontrollable impulse to drink, but sometimes this impulse is disguised amid rationalizations and justifications. This is different than the drug addict who has a more pure and noticeable desire to use drugs. It is often easy for a drug addict to admit they have a problem with drugs, but very hard for an alcoholic to admit they have a problem with alcohol. At NTS we help the client see the correlation between alcohol and drugs. We believe that alcohol is a drug too. Drug and alcohol rehab often are synonymous terms. Whether they come to NTS for treatment for alcoholism or drug addiction they will get both.
Interventions into Alcohol and Drug Rehab
Interventions are often used to help families and loved ones get a person into treatment. A professional interventionist should always do the intervention. An intervention is a pre arranged meeting with a drug treatment professional who deals personally with intervention.
NTS has a large network of interventionists throughout the United States. We can help arrange the intervention for you so that the process of getting your loved one into treatment goes as smoothly as possible.
