There's no such thing as "free addiction treatment." Someone, somewhere is paying for it, and it might be someone who really can't afford it.
Recently drug addiction in Orange County has skyrocketed and unfortunately drug treatment in Orange County has become scarce with because of lack of funding. The best option for drug treatment is private pay facilities. Most drug treatment facilities in Orange County are aware of everyone's financial difficulties and will work with you on pricing if you cannot afford to pay the full price of inpatient treatment, but remember that private drug treatment facilities make very little profit from each client and often reducing the cost of addiction treatment means that it will actually cost the drug treatment facility to keep your loved one in treatment if they work out a deal with you and if they scholarship you when you actually can afford to pay the full price of addiction treatment then you are taking away from someone who truly can't afford it. So if you, or someone you know, has the money to pay the full inpatient addiction treatment cost then please make sure that you make every effort to do so. Addiction treatment facilities can only keep a certain amount of beds full or partially scholarshiped and when those beds are full, then people who need treatment but can't afford it are turned away. I know $30,000, $25,000, or even $15,000 for 90 days of addiction treatment (the going rate these days) may sound like a lot, but how much is a loved one's life worth? How much did you spend on your last car? When it comes down to it, paying $30,000 for a loved one's treatment is nothing compared to the payoff of having your loved one "back." I should know... my parents paid over $100,000 for my treatment, but it was the best money they ever spent...
