Transitional Programs

Transitional Programs

In between treatment and sober living, Northbound offers our transitional program, which provides clients with counseling, group meetings and medication management that help aid in the continuation of their progress made during treatment. In addition to these services, our transitional program also offers the following for our clients:

  • Continued educational seminars
  • Certified living environments
  • Continued therapy and psychiatric services
  • Drug and alcohol testing
  • 12-Step meeting monitoring

Because each one of our clients is unique, these services are recommended on an as-needed basis. As a result, all clients will receive their own individualized program arrangement.

How Transitional Programs Work

Our transitional program is designed to help not only continue the care received in treatment, but to also prepare clients for life after treatment ends. Therefore, the focus of this program shifts to reintegration into the real world, life skills, job placement, continued therapeutic services and 12-Step participation. Not only does this program help those who have completed a full treatment process, but it also helps those who have prior obligations to fulfill, such as clients with family obligations:

“I’m a single dad and my daughter is my world. Getting treatment while living at home with my daughter was exactly what I needed to stay clean.” – John S.

In addition to these many benefits, clients often find that they are growing on a personal level throughout their participation in our transitional program with the help of support from loved ones and the application of positive coping skills.
