Outpatient Program

Outpatient Program

We are different at Northbound, especially in terms of the level of outpatient care that we provide for our clients. Not only do we offer a variety of services for locals, but we also extended our reach to those who do not live in the area. We keep close ties with large healthcare systems, psychiatric hospitals, outpatient facilities and professionals in the field of behavioral health to ensure that we can afford our clients with many opportunities for outpatient treatment and support.

Eligibility

Since every client’s needs are different, some clients might be more eligible to receive this form of treatment than others. The eligibility requirements for the participation in outpatient treatment include:

  • Not requiring medically-supervised detox
  • Living within a reasonable distance from the clinical offices
  • Completing a residential treatment program
  • Looking for additional support in early recovery

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

At Northbound, the intensive outpatient care that we offer is extremely effective and ideal for our localized clients who wish to participate in treatment during the evening. Throughout each week, we incorporate group process, counseling and individual psychotherapy sessions. Depending on the client’s specific needs, he or she might also participate in additional therapeutic services including gender-specific therapy, equine therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy or more. Prior to a client’s admission, we will complete a comprehensive analysis including personal history, type and length of abuse and other family and social issues that can better help us determine the client’s outpatient needs.

Recovery Achievement Program (RAP)

Northbound’s longest standing and most recognized treatment program, RAP, is a program that occurs three nights a week with an elaborate system of checks and balances designed to help people in the Orange County community with their outpatient care.

Northbound Recovery Enhancement Program

This program focuses on getting outpatient clients involved in educational and experiential workshops led by Northbound staff members and community based professionals. Topics such as addiction as a disease, warning signs of relapse, having fun in sobriety and the importance of maintaining a well-balanced life are often discussed in meaningful ways that promote lasting impact on clients. This program also focuses on getting clients prepared for real-life situations that will test their sobriety.

Outpatient and the 12-Steps

At Northbound, we know that 12-Step programs work and clients can develop impressive success through this process. That’s why we ensure frequent attendance at meetings, contact with a sponsor, developing a sense of purpose, problem-solving skills, good health habits and meaningful relationships through this process. The 12-Step program of our client’s choosing is the long-term maintenance program for sobriety and improved quality of life.

The Benefits of Outpatient Treatment

Outpatient treatment at Northbound is designed to help all of our clients prepare for their transition into day-to-day life. Through the provision of a supportive environment, freedom to live independently, and the consistent presence of helpful resources, our outpatient program options help our clients develop into the healthy, sober individuals they truly are.
